Christmas materialism in pictures: 2012 edition

1. Got my dream footwear, the Topshop Arson boots, in the sale for £55 reduced from £110! / 2. Christmas presents, including Soap & Glory Sugar Crush which I just can't get enough of / 3. Finally got a digital radio / 4. Giant walnut whip from M&S! / 5. New favourite River Island shirt, £2.70 from eBay / 6. Viewing (and listening) sorted for the next few weeks / 7. Bought myself a present from Agent Provocateur (I got the Daena bra, huge bargain at £25 reduced from £110) / 8. Got Topshop vouchers for Christmas and bought a new pair of my favourite Jamie jeans / 9. Christmas tree lights / 10. Couldn't resist the William Morris-inspired print on this Jack Wills T-shirt, £14 reduced from £34.50 / 11. Liz Earle miniatures / 12. Work dress from Next, £16 reduced from £45 / 13. Topshop Skin Glow, £5 reduced from £10 / 14. Went to see The Nutcracker, Life of Pi (in 3D) and The Hobbit / 15. Print from a pair of Topshop trousers I got for £3.20 on eBay / 16. Topshop military coat, also bought with gift vouchers / 17. Labyrinths by Borges - bought a 99p copy from eBay and got this lovely 1978 cover / 18. Found Sanctuary Kyphi shower cream & body lotion for £1.99 at Home Bargains!

I did one of these last year, so I decided I'd make it an(other) annual tradition so I can look back on what I got for Christmas and what I bought in the sales. (I forgot to include a really nice French Connection dress which actually looks a lot better in real life than it does on the website). Looking back at 2011's post, I think I've been comparatively restrained in my sale-spending and have (mainly) only bought things I needed or had wanted for ages - I even took a few things BACK after deciding I'd been blinded by the price. Let's hope I can keep this up in 2013! And of course I'm over the moon to own the world's most beautiful boots at long last... Dream come true.

  2. Lovely :) I especially like that you saw The Nutcracker. And The Hobbit. And the giant chocolate whip and Agent Provcateur box intrigue me!
