(Do people actually say 'MFW'? I think I've seen every other fashion week abbreviated (acronym...ised?) in that manner, but not Milan, for some reason.)

There were certain trends that really stood out to me from the Milan collections: menswear and suits of the actually-androgynous type rather than the more slouchy feminised variety; mid-length skirts; leather and PVC on everything; and lots and lots of lovely, voluminous coats. And is it just me or is there something distinctly early-00s about some of these clothes? (I'm looking at Salvatore Ferragamo and Versace in particular.)

Those Max Mara coats are looking particularly inviting, and I love that they have that vibe of a glam version of when you're at uni and throw a massive coat on top of your pyjamas to go to the shop. That Ports 1961 dress is making me really crave a good quality wool midi skirt for work, and I wouldn't mind a leather pencil skirt either.
