Paris fashion week was glorious to behold. It took me ages to edit it down to this selection, and I realise that it's still a bit much. It's just that I loved e v e r y t h i n g, from the sublime (most of the above) to the ridiculous (the over-the-top-80s-ness at Balmain and the controversial grungy Saint Laurent collection). My favourite pieces were much the same as all the things I've liked at the other fashion weeks - leather everything, pencil skirts, mannish tailoring/layers, ankle boots galore, and gigantic coats, with some ultra-tight dresses thrown in here and there. The trouser and skirt silhouettes here make me so happy, I can't even explain it. My taste is nothing if not predictable... It's just there was SO MUCH OF THE GOOD STUFF in Paris. I can't make my mind up about what I loved the most, so I'm just going to shut up and let the pictures do the talking.

PS: I also adored Hermès - but that was so special, it's going to get its own post later.
